After hours of scrolling websites and trying to figure out which information is correct, many people decide to find a travel agent and ask for help. How does someone know what information is correct? Should they take a chance and book online or would they rather have a dedicated, trusted travel advisor you can call whenever you want to travel? We would love to have you join our team.

A career in travel can be fun, fast-paced, always changing, challenging, and financially rewarding. You get out of it what you put into it. While traveling to exotic destinations may be one of your reasons for joining the industry, it’s important to know that you can live a very meaningful life with the income you
make, but it will take work.
Do you have the dedication, commitment, knowledge, experience, customer service skills…and patience to make this your career? Are you motivated to follow a training program, travel on your own to gain personal experience, and learn from your mistakes? If so, come along for the ride! It won’t happen overnight, and there will be bumps along the way, but if you hold on tight and find your own path, you will find the pot of gold at the end of the amazing rainbow!

All about Travel Adventures
Everyone has a story about why they chose the profession they are in. As the oldest child of 7, my dad worked as a mailman and my mother was a stay at home mom. Thus, our vacations were generally close to home. We camped all summer long, we went to the local theme park, and visited family nearby. But, then that one summer, we headed off on a road trip across the country to attend a family reunion. Not one to sleep in the car, I stayed awake until the wee hours of the morning until we found a hotel with that all-knowing blinking Vacancy sign. Our trip was about 2 weeks long and I met people I’d never even heard of, visited places I had only dreamed I would see, and enjoyed time in the car with the family – singing, playing the ABC game and watching for things we had never seen. At that time, I decided that when I got older, I would take my kids to see the world, wanting to visit a different location every year.
I began my travel career in 1988, graduating from Murdock Travel School, and went to work immediately for a small mom and pop agency. I loved every minute of it but when my children came along I took a sabbatical from it and spent time raising them. After finding myself single, I decided to go back to college and get my Bachelor’s degree in History and a Certification in Education. I then enjoyed teaching high school and junior high for several years. But, my love of travel still was there, so when the opportunity came for me to open my own agency, I jumped at the chance. I did arrange summer vacations with my children as we traveled near and far – Mexico, Japan, Europe, as well as domestically to Yellowstone National Park, Florida, Washington DC and even New York City. We enjoyed cruises as well as all inclusive land based vacations. They now also have the love of travel.
Since opening my own agency, I have visited many places around the world. My favorite destinations so far have been Japan, Cambodia, Vietnam, Ireland, Hawaii, Alaska and many Caribbean islands. I have extensive knowledge in Ocean Cruising, River Cruising, All Inclusive Resorts, Domestic and Foreign land based vacations. I’m also experienced in travel insurance options, hotels, car rentals, excursions, group and private tours, etc. In addition, I am a Certified Accessible Travel Advisor, able to assist with all Special Needs requests.
